At Devoted Leaders 2026, the call was clear and challenging: strip away secondary distractions and return to the person of Jesus as our primary focus. At the heart of it was an invitation to give up functional, routine religion for an intimate relationship with God.

Rather than treating our walk with Jesus as a business relationship, driven by performance or self-reliance, we're invited to linger in His presence and find our delight in Him simply for who He is. That shift in focus should change how we live and lead together:

• Reject heavy-handed control and selfish ambition. Follow Christ's example instead, laying down self-reliance to build cultures that empower others, and lead with humility.
• Don't lean on "proven" but earthly shortcuts. True fruitfulness comes from staying attentive and surrendered to the Holy Spirit, especially under pressure.
• Our anchor in Jesus brings us into His family, where our different cultural backgrounds are celebrated, not divided. We're challenged to love one another as one body.
• Fixing our eyes on Jesus equips us to contend for the gospel and pursue multiplication, not just maintenance.

And as we press on, our future in Christ is secure. Letting go of past failures, regrets and old wounds means we can run our race with perseverance and joy, knowing Jesus Himself is the prize.

It was a wonderful time of learning together, of being encouraged and equipped for the days ahead. We hope you find the speakers below encouraging. We hope to release further content in the coming days.
